12/9/11 The Season's Just Around the Corner - We're busy building mufflers. If you're planning on running one of the indoor events, either Fort Wayne or Tulsa, be sure to give us a call --we'd love to have a Viper Pipes muffler or header on your car.
   
 
3/4/2011 Quality Components Too! - One area that we knew could stand improvement when it comes to the muffler and header systems available for motorcycle powered racing cars like mini sprints, modified midgets, tq midgets and dwarf cars was the quality of the clamps, fasteners and springs used in their manufacture.  Our experience working in the aerospace industry has provided us access to the highest quality metals and fasteners.  While many of our competitors utilize commercial grade, inexpensive worm gear style clamps to hold their mufflers on, we've gone to the added expense of aerospace grade stainless steel barrel clamps that are stronger and capable of delivering better clamping power.  If you've ever lost your expensive muffler due to the failure of a cheap $1.95 hardware store clamp--you'll appreciate our added effort.  Likewise our popular stainless steel muffler strap makes mounting your muffler much easier by allowing the strap to slide the entire length of the muffler making it easier to find a secure mounting point on your chassis.  The canister of our mufflers are also secured with stainless steel aerospace quality blind rivets.  While these quality components are more costly--in the end their worth it.   The components discussed above are also available for purchase separately on our Accessories page.
   
1/21/2011 Indy Circle Track Expo - Be sure to look for us at the Indy Circle Track Expo.  We'll have a booth at the show to show off all the latest from Viper Pipes.  Hope to post the booth number in the next couple of days.
   
 
1/15/11 New 1-3/4" Viper VPX Stubby - In order to meet requests from the modified midget / micro sprint market, we are proud to introduce our new Viper VPX 10" stubby muffler with 1-3/4" slip fit.  The unit features a ceramic coated core and canister.  In dyno tests the combination ceramic core and canister have produced a gain of 3-5 horsepower.  The ceramic coating both accelerates the evacuation of exhaust gases and provides for a more uniform dissipation of heat.  This muffler also makes use of a tapered core that goes from 2" to 2-1/2 inches at the outlet and is a true reverse cone design.  Pricing for the muffler starts at $214.00.  It is also available in a 12" model.

12/14/2010 Introducing Viper 10" Stubby - We are proud to announce the new VPR 10" stubby.  We've gotten numerous requests from mini sprint and micro sprint racers for a short 10 inch muffler.  The 10" mufflers have become popular in many of the modified midgets classes that run the GSXR 600, R6, CBR 600RR and ZX6 engines.  The Viper 10" Stubby weighs in at a very light 2.9lbs.  The VPR 10" Stubby is available either as the VPR (raw painted version) or as the VPX 10" Stubby (ceramic coated core and shell).

9/22/2010 Viper Pipes Partners with Aesthetic Finishers to Offer Ceramic Coated Headers
  Viper Pipes is proud to announce a partnership with Aesthetic Finishers that will allow us to offer their trademarked Armor Coating metallic ceramic coating on Viper Pipes Header Systems.

7/4/2010 Viper Pipes Scores Victory in First Outing

Although our season got off to a later start than we had anticipated, we were proud that our first night running a Viper Pipes exhaust system produced a win with the American Mini Sprint Association (A.M.S.A.) at Waynesfield Motorsports Park.  We were all impressed with the way the Viper Pipes performed and looked.  Be sure to strike with power and speed with your own set of Viper Pipes.
   
6/14/2010 Viper Pipes Announces VPR Muffler - Economy and Performance Wrapped into One!

Viper Pipes is proud to announce the new VPR Muffler.  Based upon the popular S&S Header's muffler that was carefully developed over the past several years, the VPR delivers exceptional performance and value for motorcycle powered race cars including modified midgets, mini sprints, dwarf cars, mod-lites and TQ midgets.  Starting at just $149.95 the muffler is available in 12, 14 and 17 inch versions.  The mufflers are designed for use on today's most popular engines including 600cc, 750cc and 1000cc configurations from Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki and Yamaha.

The VPR muffler features a cone shaped core that tapers from 2-1/2 inches at the outlet to 2 inches at the inlet.  The VPR's perforated core and purposely shaped end caps deliver the proper balance of airflow and scavenging.  The core is cased in 4 inch diameter, 16g aluminum shell that is held on with high quality stainless steel rivets.  Each VPR muffler comes with a stainless steel barrel clamp that delivers maximum clamping power.

5/7/2010 Now Available - It's taken us longer than we estimated to get here, but we are happy to finally announce availability on our mufflers and header systems.  We currently offer mufflers in 10 inch, 12 inch, 14 inch and 17 inch lengths for mini sprints, lightning sprints, modified midgets, TQ midgets, dwarf cars, mod-lites and more.  Our header systems are currently limited to 1000cc upright mini sprints including today's most popular engine combinations including the Suzuki GSXR 1000, Yamaha R1 and Kawasaki ZX10 to name just a few.  Be sure to stay tuned as we continue to add new products to our line-up.

1/1/2010 Grand Opening - Thank you for visiting the grand opening of Viper Pipes website.  Although we have a pretty limited product offering right now, we hope to introduce several new products in the coming months.  Today we offer two different models of mufflers in two different lengths.  These products are produced for the motorcycle powered race car market - most specifically focusing on 1200cc through 600cc engines like those used in upright mini sprints, modified midgets, sidewinders, dwarf cars and tq midgets.  Be sure to check out both the Viper Pipes VPR and VPX mufflers.

We are very close to introducing our first sets of headers for the upright mini sprint market.  Our first sets will be compatible with the GSXR 1000 and Yamaha R1 engines.  We are constantly working on improvements and new products.  Stay tuned for an announcement on these new headers in the next few weeks.
